DECEMBER 14, 2023 – Richard Schnider, Vice President of TRUE Commercial, successfully completed three long-term leases with Chip City in three major Connecticut markets. The first was an endcap in The Brick Walk in Fairfield with Regency Centers and Kleban Properties. The second was an inline space in Darien Commons in Darien with Federal Realty. The third was an inline space in Blue Back with Charter Realty.

“Chip City is a fantastic addition to any center with the traffic it brings to its stores through the 31 classic ooey gooey flavors they rotate every week through their locations. They bring a fun and yummy vibe for all”, said Richard Schnider.

DECEMBER 11, 2023  – TRUE CRE recently completed the signing of a new lease with Target Corporation at Shoreline Plaza, a 170,000 square foot shopping center at 900 Boston Post Road in Guilford, Connecticut.  Target’s new 78,050 square foot store is projected to open in mid-2025.  With nearly 2,000 stores operating in North America, Target’s addition to Shoreline Plaza, makes it a more regional shopping center, and expands the overall trading area, which greatly benefits tenants, landlords and consumers.

“Tyler Lyman and I worked closely with ownership to secure Target in this prime location and we believe the addition of Target to the market and Shoreline Plaza is a significant event for the Town of Guilford, and the area retailers in general. We are eagerly anticipating their grand opening.” said Dominick Musilli, TRUE CRE’s Managing Partner.

OCTOBER 23, 2023 – Dominick Musilli and Richard Schnider completed a lease transaction with Restoration Hardware Outlet at the former Bob’s in Fairfield, Connecticut. The 35,000 square foot deal will anchor Fairfield Shopping Center on Post Road.

“Restoration Hardware Outlet was one among several interested parties over the term of our leasing assignment, and, ultimately, my client felt they were the best fit for the shopping center and the market,” said Dominick Musilli.

Restoration was represented by Steve Tomasello of Atlantic Retail.
OCTOBER 21, 2023 – Dominick Musilli and Richard Schnider inked a 9,000 square foot deal with Barnes & Noble in the former Pier 1 building at Townline Square Shopping Center. Barnes signed a ten-year lease for this freestanding building with great presence on South Broad Street.

 

“The addition of another national retailer to the already star-studded line-up of retailers is a great testament to the strength of the Townline Square Shopping Center. Barnes & Noble will add to the great mix of offerings already provided at the shopping center,” said Dominick Musilli.

OCTOBER 19, 2023 – Tyler Lyman and Wes Craft represented AFC Urgent Care on a 4,452 square foot lease at 340 Saw Mill Rd in West Haven, CT. AFC is joining Chipotle, Starbucks and Aspen Dental. 

“This site was a perfect fit for our client with its incredible visibility from I-95. This market had a large void for AFC and we anticipate it being highly successful due to its easy access and high traffic counts surrounding the property”, said Tyler Lyman.

This deal marks the second deal Lyman and Craft have completed with AFC in the last 12 months.
OCTOBER 18, 2023 – Tyler Lyman and Wes Craft leased a 3,800 SF freestanding building to Mexican restaurant Casa Vallarta. The site, located at 132 New Britian Avenue in Plainville, was formerly occupied by Asian Bistro and sat vacant for several years prior to them taking on the listing for the landlord.

 

“The tenant will be making significant improvements to the interior and exterior of the structure, which has fallen into disrepair,” said Craft. “It’s nice to be able to save a 36 year old building and bring the locals a welcomed upgrade.”

 

Casa Vallarta operates 17 locations throughout the northeast and plans to be open within the year.

OCTOBER 16, 2023 – Dominick Musilli worked with Dunkin to find a new home in New Canaan. While they didn’t move far from their previous location, their new home was not only a better location, but also right sized for Dunkin’s operation. They moved from a location that was under 1,000 square feet (92 Elm Street) to one that is 1,454 square feet (48 Elm Street).

“The operator of the Dunkin wanted to provide his customers a better experience than what the previous location was providing. We were able to secure a corner location with great visibility and presence on Elm Street. It was a win for all of the parties involved.” said Dominick.

Dominick represented the tenant, Cain Management, and Greg Romano represented the landlord, Karp Associates.

OCTOBER 13, 2023 – Mohegan Sun welcomed a new Athleta store in their already impressive array of retailers in their casino. Dominick Musilli represented the tenant and brokered the 4,200 square foot Athleta deal at the casino.

“Athleta didn’t have a presence in eastern Connecticut and the Mohegan Sun opportunity was the perfect opportunity to fill the need in the market. The success of the retailers in the casino was very impressive and we thought we could contribute to the line-up,” said Dominick.

The casino was represented by Carl Wunderlich of Cushman & Wakefield.

OCTOBER 9, 2023 – Dominick Musilli and Richard Schnider successfully completed a long-term lease with ALDI at 205 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT.The 20,000 square foot store is expected to open in late 2024.

“After years of trying to secure an anchor for this location, we are very happy to announce the addition of ALDI to this property. Michael and Thomas Schinella worked feverishly to make this deal happen starting with their expression of interest to obtaining all of the requisite approvals. We believe they will be very successful at this location.”
